This ARiEAL Learning Series event will feature a panel of speakers representing Undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students who have attended and/or presented at an online conference. The panelists include: Heather Wild (4th year Honours BA student, Linguistics and Languages), Kaitlyn Battershill (1st year MSc student, Cognitive Science of Language) and Rachelle Ho (4th year PhD Candidate, Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour). The event moderators are: Kelly Nisbet (4th year PhD Candidate, Cognitive Science of Language) and Mariam Bekhet (3rd year Honours BA student, Cognitive Science of Language). The audience will get perspectives from these speakers on topics such as:

  • networking and socializing in an online space,
  • how to optimize your time and map out your days,
  • navigating the online format, and more...

There will be a Q&A period where the speakers will take questions from the audience. The panel discussion and Q&A will be followed by a brief presentation of resources made available to all ARiEAL members to help assist them in creating presentations and posters for conferences and where to find the materials.
